Roy Memorial Park, Darrah Pond and Talent Hall

Where the community comes together

Located at the intersection of Wood Hawk Way and Albuquerque Avenue, these serve as the main recreational complex in town. The multi-purpose park, comprising approximately of 15 acres, includes a regulation-size soccer field, softball fields, public beach and in-door recreation center. Winding through and around the park is a ¾ mile fitness trail complete with stations, designated picnic areas, an open air pavilion at the park for individual and group use and plenty of natural space provide for passive recreation. The playground was constructed in 2001. There is an “Outward Bound” style rope challenge course available for group use with proper supervision. The Talent Hall community center is the host facility for many events, such as Adult Comedy Nights, and free Family Movie Nights and the famous Christmas in Litchfield celebration.

The Recreation Commission is looking for ways to service the town’s senior citizens; if you have any ideas or suggestions,
contact the recreation commission.


Please Note that Talent Hall is not available for rent for private events. Please refer to our bi-laws “Section 2. Use of Recreation Facilities b Other Organizations”


The Recreation Commission meets with Litchfield Rec Leagues Scheduling Reps the first Tuesday of February, May, August and October to schedule the use of Talent Hall for the coming season.
